Summary, etc. | The purpose of this study is to develop a campaign against bullying. Many researches have been<br/>collected in the primary research that has included the causes and effects of bullying, types of<br/>bullying, and the reasons to why bystanders of bullying stay silent. In addition, several campaigns<br/>have been examined in order to determine the limitations of each and develop a campaign that defies<br/>every limitation.<br/>The purpose of this campaign is to empower victims of bullying to speak up against any act of<br/>bullying they encounter. Basically, bullying is aggression, and aggression occurs under certain<br/>circumstances. It only occurs whenever there is an imbalance of power between two people. It<br/>happens when the person who acts aggressively is more powerful than the person they are inflicting<br/>their aggression upon. So here, there is an imbalance of power between the perpetrator of bullying<br/>and the bullied victim. The bully may be more powerful physically, verbally, or might be more<br/>socially skilled, which allows him to hurt others through any type of bullying. Therefore, the purpose<br/>of the campaign is to balance this power in order for bullying to stop and make victims aware that<br/>they are strong indeed and they can overcome bullying. This campaign is not only done with an<br/>academic perspective, but also with a humane point of view because there is hope that someday<br/>bullying will stop, or at least the rates would be minimal. |
