The current study examines the effect of risk management on the financial performance of<br/>banks. The sample includes 15 listed and non-listed Egyptian banks’ financial statements<br/>during the period of 2015-2017. To test the research hypotheses, descriptive analysis, Pearson<br/>correlation and regression analysis were used. The results showed that there is a positive<br/>significant association between Return on Assets (ROA) and Non-performing Loan (NPL) ratio,<br/>Capital Adequacy Ratio(CAR) and Liquidity ratio. However, there is a negative insignificant<br/>association between capital ratio and ROA. In addition, there is a positive significant<br/>association between ROE and both NPL ratio and Liquidity ratio. However, there is a positive<br/>insignificant association between CAR and ROE and there is a negative significant association<br/>between capital ratio and ROE. |
