| Summary, etc. | Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer<br/>worldwide in men and women, the second largest cause of death<br/>related to cancer and the main cause of death in gastrointestinal<br/>cancer. The risk of developing this cancer is related to bad<br/>alimentary habits, smoking, intestinal inflammatory disease, polyps and genetic factors. The<br/>aim of the study was evaluation of Tabernaemontana divaricate and nerium oleander extracts<br/>on C26 murine cell lines in vitro for the discovery of new drug for cancer by induction of C26<br/>to balb/c in vivo. In vitro measurement was done using 2D culture in order to measure the<br/>cytotoxicity of 2 plants extracts and 3D model was applied in order to know which plant<br/>extract has a high penetration power. MTT assay was used to measure viability of the cells.<br/>Then in vivo study was done by using 2 plant extract to know their effect and the c26 cell lines<br/>was injected to let the tumor appear and then mice were treated by the active extracts.<br/>Finally, histopathological study was applied. The in vitro results in 2D culture gives a promising<br/>percentage in IC50 with Tabernamontana divaricata by 33% , while in Nerium Oleander it<br/>were 65% which indicates that tabernamontana divaricata has a higher effective potency than<br/>Nerium oleander. While in 3D model, tabnernamontana divaraciata shows a high penetration<br/>power on the cells than Nerium Oleander. |
