The purpose of this study is to develop a campaign against bullying. Many researches have been
collected in the primary research that has included the causes and effects of bullying, types of
bullying, and the reasons to why bystanders of bullying stay silent. In addition, several campaigns
have been examined in order to determine the limitations of each and develop a campaign that defies
every limitation.
The purpose of this campaign is to empower victims of bullying to speak up against any act of
bullying they encounter. Basically, bullying is aggression, and aggression occurs under certain
circumstances. It only occurs whenever there is an imbalance of power between two people. It
happens when the person who acts aggressively is more powerful than the person they are inflicting
their aggression upon. So here, there is an imbalance of power between the perpetrator of bullying
and the bullied victim. The bully may be more powerful physically, verbally, or might be more
socially skilled, which allows him to hurt others through any type of bullying. Therefore, the purpose
of the campaign is to balance this power in order for bullying to stop and make victims aware that
they are strong indeed and they can overcome bullying. This campaign is not only done with an
academic perspective, but also with a humane point of view because there is hope that someday
bullying will stop, or at least the rates would be minimal.
