The idea behind it is to establish a form of procedure used in Industrial Engineering in tourism, to improve the service itself. Egypt is rich in culture and has a lot of beautiful place that are not very well known, and tourists are not capable of visiting most of these places all together due to time constraints, and the possibility of being too expensive. Tourism in Egypt has been affected due the instabilities in the country, consequently the quality of the tourism has been affected. This project discusses three main topics; Operations Research, Quality Management, Facilities, and how to implement them in tourism sector to increase the quality of tourism. These topics were chosen because they are the most relevant, and have a higher impact in tourism, as well as being essential tools. The methodologies in this project include a seasonal with trend model for tourist forecasting which was chosen based on analysis on the data collected. A Minimum Spanning Tree problem as well as Travelling Salesman Problem were used to create a multi-city route for a trip across Egypt while minimising the cost and time; cities include: Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan, Dahab, and Hurghada. Furthermore, the project discusses how a questionnaire was created for services such as accommodation and transportation to measure customer satisfaction, and define the facilities needed to improve the service and the tourism experience.
